My Honest Review Of Under Canvas-Lake Powell

We spent the weekend at the Under Canvas- Lake Powell & Grand Staircase location, glamping under the stars surrounded by views of the Utah desert. I heard about Under Canvas over a year ago on Instagram and was immediately intrigued. The idea of glamping with running water and king size bed sounded right up my alley. Ben and I planned this trip in early March and were anxiously awaiting seeing the Under Canvas property in person.

We were not disappoint by Under Canvas. The property was STUNNING, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the tent was luxurious. We would 10/10 recommend trying out Under Canvas at least once. Disconnecting in such a beautiful way was so special for Ben and I, we loved every minute of it.

When you arrive on the property you check in at the lobby tent. The lobby tent is the hub for all activity at Under Canvas. There are AC units, misters, the Embers Cafe (serving breakfast and dinner), the outdoor patio which has a stage for live music, tables to each your food with a view, and fire-pits where you can make bottomless s’mores every evening.

Once we got check-in, we took a golf cart to our tent which included a king sized bed, a wood stove, a push water sink, a pull down shower, and a fully functioning toilet. On top of all of these great amenities, Under Canvas also provided battery packs for charging and chargeable fans and lanterns. They truly didn’t miss a details. We brought our own coolers to keep drinks and food fresh but coolers are available by request from the Under Canvas team.

We spent most of the days away from the property exploring Lake Powell but returned back every evening to enjoy everything Under Canvas had to offer. We would have a drink on our front patio and take in the views before we headed over the Ember’s Cafe for dinner. They had a wide variety of appetizers and entrees for all the food lovers. We would listen to local artists while we ate dinner and roasted s’more by the fire-pit. Once our evening was over we walked back to our tent where we had a perfect view of the night sky. It was truly magical!

We loved our time with Under Canvas even more than we thought and will definitely we trying out some of their other locations in Zion National Park, Yellow Stone National Park, Glacier National Park, and many more!
